Thinking About Joining a Clinical Trial?
Clinical trials give people access to investigational treatments before they are widely available. They are also a way to take part in research that can help others, and participation often includes compensation for your time.
At Quality of Life Research Center, you are never just a number. Our team takes the time to explain what a study involves, answer your questions, and make sure you feel comfortable before you decide anything. We conduct studies across a range of conditions throughout the year.
If you are curious whether a trial might be right for you, these are good places to start:
• What is a clinical trial? Learn how clinical research works and what taking part involves. (content to come)
• Current enrolling studies. See which studies are recruiting at QLRC right now.
• Sign up to be notified. Get a message when a study opens that fits your health profile. (We don't yet have this capability)
For Sponsors and CROs
The clinical research industry has a persistent problem. More than 80 percent of trials miss their original enrollment timelines, and the most common reason is slow recruitment. Most sites advertise to strangers and hope enough qualified people respond before the schedule slips.
Quality of Life Research Center works differently. Our affiliated Tucson medical practice gives us an established patient population whose health histories are already documented. When a study comes in, our team can identify and screen likely candidates quickly, rather than starting recruitment from zero. That advantage has given us a track record of meeting and exceeding the enrollment goals our sponsors set, with strong participant retention and a patient population that helps studies reach their diversity targets.
Our Capabilities
Our Tucson site supports clinical trials across all phases. Our capabilities include on-site laboratory processing, secure storage for investigational products with temperature monitoring, and industry-standard electronic data capture with real-time access for sponsor and CRO monitoring teams. We follow FDA regulations and ICH Good Clinical Practice guidance, and we maintain relationships with central and local Institutional Review Boards.

About Quality of Life Research Center
Quality of Life Research Center, or QLRC, is a clinical research site in Tucson, Arizona. For more than two decades, we have run clinical trials across a wide range of medical conditions, working with sponsors and contract research organizations to test new treatments and deliver reliable data.
What sets us apart is our affiliated medical practice. Most research sites have to recruit participants from scratch for every study. We work alongside a full-service Tucson medical practice with an established patient base, which gives our research team a head start on finding the right people for each trial. For participants, that connection means you are cared for by people who know your health history. For sponsors, it means enrollment that moves faster and holds steadier.
Our mission is straightforward. We advance clinical research by recruiting carefully, running each study precisely, and treating every participant with respect.
Our Research Leadership and Team
Our greatest strength is the experience of the people who run our studies. Our leadership and research staff have spent years, in many cases decades, in clinical research, and that depth shows in how carefully we handle every trial.
